For the Scones:
1 Gluten Free Original Beer Bread Mix
3 tbsp cold butter diced int0o small cubes
8 oz beer chilled
1/2 cup diced strawberries
For the glaze:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 teaspoon creamy vanilla ale OR vanilla extract
Preheat over to 400°...in a mixing bowl combine the Gluten Free Original Beer Bread Mix and diced butter/..mix until the butter begins to form pea-sized clumps in the bread mix...add beer and egg and continue to mix until uniform...add strawberries...pour mixture into a greased scone pan...each cavity should be near the top (scones do not rise)...bake for 30 minutes or until golden and firm...set the scones aside to cool and prepare your glaze! Mix all ingredients until uniform...drizzle over cooled scones. ENJOY!
Tip: The key to scones is temperature! Keep your butter, eggs, and beer cold until the moment you are read to use!
